I am a registered BACP senior accredited counsellor and psychotherapist and a registered member of UKCP.
I hold a postgraduate Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling from The University of East London
I hold a postgraduate Diploma in supervision through Counsellors in Primary Care Ltd
I completed a Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy for Depression course at the North London Buddhist Centre.
I have over 5 years experience working as a counsellor in NHS Primary Care
I have over 10 years experience of working as a counsellor in Higher Education. This includes counselling at Imperial College, UCL, London Metropolitan University, University of Law and University of East London.
I have over 15yrs experience of working as a counsellor in the voluntary sector, including bereavement, alcohol and mental health counselling agencies.
I have trained counsellors at City Lit, College of North East London, City & Islington College and Newham College of Further Education. I delivered workshops to the Graduate School at Imperial College on Stress Management and Self Sustainability. I facilitated mindfulness sessions for tutors at The University of Law.
I monitor and develop my counselling and psychotherapy by attending supervision regularly. I keep up to date with current best practice by attending Continuous Professional Development conferences and seminars. I maintain a regular mindfulness practice.
